Message from the President      March 22, 2012

The 2011-2012 year ahs been a year of transition from an old organizational structure, to a new, more simplified one. My objectives at the beginning of the year were:

1.       Back to the Basics

2.       Focus on the Mission Statement

3.       Simplify things

Here are the major changes that have taken place:

  1. Your Executive Committee has instituted payment for our teachers.

  2. Your Executive Committee has initiated fee payment for classes.

  3. Your Executive Committee has decided it is necessary to pay our Technician for hours spent keeping the computers loaded with appropriate programs and functioning properly.

The prime focus of the Executive Committee has been on Classes. We have had classes on:

  1. Beginners

  2. Microsoft Word 2007

  3. Microsoft Excel (Spread Sheets)

  4. The Internet

  5. Windows 7

  6. Basic Digital Photography

All Classes were well attended and met with enthusiasm.

Our prime method of communication is Mouse Tracks, sent via "E"Mail weekly. The old Monthly News Paper has been eliminated.

S.I.G.'s (Special Interest Groups) have been eliminated.

The 911 (Computer Repair Program) has been eliminated.

These three "eliminations" are in keeping with my objective to simplify things.

I could not have accomplished all of the above in such a short space of time and also adhere to our By Laws, so I choose to disregard them temporarily. I have acted as a Dictator. To that charge I plead guilty. I hereby pledge to you, the membership; that I will return to compliance with the By Laws in the 2012-2013 season.

Respectfully Submitted,

 J. A. Pegg - President
